Can I save money by preparing the waste myself?: No. There are specific requirements and guidelines for the proper packaging of hazardous wastes. Serious repercussions can arise from improper handling of incompatible materials or chemicals.; Classifications are established by the Ministry of Environment to ensure categories are segregated until reaching an approved processing facility.
How do I get a Disposal Permit Number?: Any company that generates hazardous or liquid industrial waste must register with the M.O.E. to obtain a Waste Generator number. This number must be included on the waste transportation manifest. Apex can assist you with this process upon approval of your order.
How long can I store my waste before disposal?: M.O.E requires that waste is not stored for longer than 90 days. Therefore on-going waste generators should anticipate a disposal within that period. However, large volumes that constitute a danger due to space restrictions or proximity issues should plan for more a frequent disposal schedule.
